Position Profile

Manager, Benefit Risk Management will support various aspects of company portfolio of Risk Management Programs and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) programs, contribute to development and research for new and existing risk management programs.

Essential Functions

  • This role will contribute to cross-functional team deliverables and action items for Benefit Risk Management. Alignment between this role and other  cross-functional areas will be critical to success  and will require collaboration across multiple departments
  • Review/assess inbound Risk Management Reports (RMRs) for longitudinal view of potential abuse, misuse, diversion
  • Categorize RMRs in the Jazz Safety Database
  • Track and trend categories of RMRs
  • Support Benefit Risk Management Manager/Associate Director in data analysis, RMR initiatives, report preparations, etc.
  • Support BRM cross-functional projects
  • Liaison to Global Case Management for RMR-related processes
  • Support development and implementation of US REMS and ex-US Risk Management Programs, including researching regulations and industry best practices and document preparation and maintenance
  • Coordinate benefit risk management program(s) awareness campaigns for internal stakeholders 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Background in Pharmaceutical Science (REMS)/Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilence preferred
  • Familiar/Proficient in Microsoft tool suite
  • Self sufficient/dicipline for remote work environment when necessary
  • Experience in data collection, trending and reporting out metrics 

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Life science degree preferred 

Description of Physical Demands

  • Occasional mobility within office environment.
  • Routinely sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Constantly operating a computer, printer, telephone and other similar office machinery. 

Description of Work Environment

  • Work indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes.
  • Frequent computer use at workstation.
  • May move from one work location to another occasionally.
  • Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of “normal” work hours, in order to meet business demands.
  • Occasional public contact requiring appropriate business apparel.
