Position Profile

This position resides in New Product Planning and will contribute to that mission by partnering directly with Corporate Development to identify and assess the commercial potential for target assets.  This individual will work through each step of the deal process, from initiation to signing, and ensure that strategic and critical success factors for commercialization have been identified. This person must collect and synthesize multiple layers of evidence and insight from a range of sources to assess the potential value of a compound or technology.  Due to Jazz’s commitment for long-term growth associated with mergers, acquisitions and partnerships, deal flow and potential to complete transactions is high.  Accordingly, we are looking for a self-motivated, strategically agile and unquestioned collaborator to join the New Product Planning team reporting directly to the Vice President of the Department.


  • Commercial assessments for a wide range of therapeutic areas, especially those related to rare and orphan conditions for both for the purpose of LCM go/no go decisions and partnerships, licenses and acquisitions
  • Revenue forecasts extending over a 15-20 year period
  • Presentation and recommendations to Sr, Management for required commercial investment, including marketing, sales and managed markets

Experiences required for success:

  • Deal transaction familiarity.
  • Superb analytic skills, especially those related to modeling
  • Track record assessing the clinical and commercial value of an asset utilizing KOL and internal clinical opinion, published scientific literature, market research, syndicated reports and various audits.
  • Proven track record of leadership

Following experiences considered a significant plus:

  • Experience leading a commercialization planning effort for a near term development or in-line product.
  • Customer facing responsibilities
  • 10+  years in pharmaceutical commercial positions
  • BA in life science and MBA strongly preferred.
