Position Profile

The primary purpose of this position is to analyze, design, configure, support, and integrate HR enterprise systems including Workday and other major systems. This position will provide subject matter expertise within Workday configuration and functionality to propose solutions, support upgrades, system administration and configure enhancements. This roles primary responsibility is to manage system configurations in Workday such as master data, leave & absence management, business processes configuration for workflow approval, custom & calculated field configuration, and develop standard, custom, proxy and ad-hoc reports. This role will also be involved in assessment and evaluation of other HR technologies. This is accomplished by having an in-depth understanding of various HR Technology business processes, analyzing of system features and functionality, developing and analyzing reports, problem solving, conducting application research and arriving at solutions with the goal of managing defects, changes, broke-fixes, enhancements, and process improvement. This role leads system feature and functionality research, analysis, documentation, and problem solving of issues or enhancement requests and provides alternative solutions to resolve various requests or processes. Occasionally, this position will manage smaller projects including effectively communicate project progress, project timeline, external consultant or contracts, and work closely with IT department in HR system assessment, evaluation and implementation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage all Workday configuration including master data, fields, reports, business processes, leave and absence management, and integration with other systems.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve existing HRIS processes and programs through the use of technology solutions.
  • Management of Workday scheduled upgrades and work with other HR teams to provide daily support around Workday and on-going system enhancements.
  • Guide scope requirements, design, test, and implement enhancements to processes and systems.
  • Work with HRIS, IT and TAQ teams to support and enhance functionality, integration and processes between Workday and iCIMS. 
  • Provide helpdesk support & ongoing systems training to end users.
  • Provide production support, including researching and resolving Workday problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Develop and modify new or existing standard, ad-hoc, or proxy reports in Workday.
  • Ability to create calculated fields in Workday, Excel VLOOKUP and other complex reporting features.
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Provide project management oversight over HRIS projects.

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of Workday Systems administration and configuration experience.
  • 2+ years of Workday Leave and Absence Management configuration experience.
  • 3+ year experience of data analytical or other applicable data reporting tools.
  • 3+ year of project management experience.
  • Experience in understanding HR data models within a HRMS.
  • Experience in documenting processes, creating process flow charts, and requirement analysis.
  • Strong MS Access and Excel skills to analyze cleanse and otherwise manage data
  • Working knowledge of the interrelationships of HR processes to other functions.
  • Ability to think critically when problem solving and plan ahead to effectively self-manage tasks.
  • Knowledge of technical database concepts and design.
  • Strong organizational and project management and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain absolute confidentiality and safeguard sensitive and highly confidential data at all times.
  • A strong process orientation and an active learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodation.

Desired Previous Job Experience

  • Experience supporting HRMS Systems as an technical expert especially Workday is preferred.
  • Workday or other HRMS consulting experience..

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience 

Key Relationships

  • Working effectively with other departments such as IT, Finance and Payroll.
