    Position Profile

    The Senior Manager, Library Resources will serve as a contact person and administrator for the company’s Information Resources function. This person will manage the company’s digital literature collection; fulfill article delivery requests to support research and submissions; and interface with outside vendors to handle literature search requests and ensure continuing access to subscriptions and databases.

    Essential Functions

    • Respond to reference requests from R&D groups worldwide to support submissions and research
    • Manage holdings collection, users access, and document retrieval process in RightFind content workflow solution platform
    • Work with over 20 vendors and publishers on renewals, agreements, acquisitions, and general maintenance updates
    • Manage Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance group’s weekly literature alerts in Embase and provide document retrieval support as needed
    • Work with selected vendor to order and process monthly case narratives for Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance group to support REMS literature monitoring
    • Manage literature search requests and collaborate closely with vendor on search strategies and deliverables
    • Manage product bibliographies and regulatory guidance updates to be performed by an outside vendor
    • Maintain and update company’s internal Information Resources webpage regularly
    • Track Information Resources budget and provide periodic updates to management
    • Index articles for inclusion in the Digital Library, ensuring copyright compliance
    • Promote awareness of the library’s electronic presence and services
    • Work with publishers and vendors to ensure company’s access for all electronic content and resolve access issues for various locations and remote users

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • At least 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or medical library environment
    • Exceptional organizational and client service skills
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple timelines and priorities
    • Familiarity with Livelink a plus
    • Knowledge of US and international copyright issues a plus

    Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • MLS degree or at least 2 years of experience classifying and archiving literature in an online library system preferred
